Seasoned Romance (coming in 2025)

As a romance author, I’ve always loved writing contemporary love stories—tales about people in their 30s finding connection, navigating career and life changes, and falling head over heels in unexpected ways. Those stories still hold a special place in my heart. But lately, I’ve found myself drawn more and more to characters with a little more mileage—people who’ve lived, loved, lost, and kept going. That’s why I’m shifting my focus to seasoned romance.

Seasoned romance is about characters who are often in their 40s, 50s, or beyond—people who have seen enough of life to know what matters and what doesn’t. These are men and women who’ve worked hard, raised families (or chosen not to), built careers, started over, and are still evolving. They bring wisdom, humor, and a deeper understanding of themselves to the page—and honestly, that makes the love even more powerful. There’s something incredibly compelling about two people who aren’t looking to be rescued, but instead find someone who sees and appreciates them exactly as they are.

In seasoned romance, the stakes are often quieter but no less meaningful. Instead of love triangles or who’s texting whom, we’re dealing with grown-up issues—aging parents, blended families, second careers, or healing from past relationships. And because these characters have been around the block a time or two, their decisions often carry more weight, and their intimacy feels more grounded. They’re not afraid to ask for what they want—or admit when they’re scared to want it.

If you’ve read my books before, don’t worry—I’m still bringing the same slow burns, deep emotion, smart heroines, and stubborn, lovable men. But now, the heat and heart come wrapped in a little more life experience. These are romances for readers who know that falling in love doesn’t have an age limit and that sometimes the best chapters are the ones we never saw coming.
So whether you’re already a seasoned romance reader or just curious about dipping a toe in, I hope you’ll come along for this next chapter. There’s so much more love to explore—and I can’t wait to share it with you.
