About Janis

When Janis was a child, her dad always made her put away the book she’d brought to the dinner table. He knew she’d try to read it in her lap during family meals. That hasn’t changed much since she’s become an adult.

Janis writes contemporary romance about relatable characters: capable women, determined men, and relationships built on friendship, trust, and chemistry. Don’t forget the chemistry!  She believes some of the best love stories happen after life has had a chance to surprise us a few times. She loves slow-burn romances with heart and happily-ever-afters.

Born and raised in the northwest, Janis has never wanted to call anywhere else home. Surrounded by family, friends, and the beauty of the Treasure Valley, she spends her days creating happily-ever-afters and her evenings reading the kinds of books that once got her into trouble at the dinner table.
