Hey, glad you could make it. This section is about whatever is on my mind at the time.

street scene 1August 9, 2017: I just returned from a fabulous vacation in Friday Harbor, located in the San Juan Islands off Washington. It’s a beautiful little town with lots of shops and sights. The town is independent and decided there would be no chain stores allowed, so you won’t find a McDonald’s or Target. It was great. I’ve posted some pictures of my time there in the My Life section. Hope you enjoy!

First, Lilianna’s Curse e-book is on sale for $1.99!

July 1, 2017: Remember the kittens I started fostering when they were 4 days old?IMG_1748 Sadly, the male (Desi) died the day after I got him. But the little female was a scrapper.

Here’s Lucy at 12 weeks! So darling, I have to adopt her. I had a plan (see my PETS link), but plans change. Isn’t she precious?

June 15, 2017: July is flying by and I went to our writing chapter’s Summer Retreat. We rented a cabin in beautiful McCall and were there Thursday through Sunday morning. I got a lot of writing done, some business-type things (not as fun), and we all laughed and had a great time!.

June 3, 2017: May flew by since I had kitten fostering to do. I’m excited that next week I’m going to my annual writer’s chapter retreat in McCall, Idaho, a small lake town about 100 miles north of Boise. We spend the weekend writing, editing, and brainstorming. Oh, and laughing, eating, and drinking, of course! So fun and so productive.

IMG_0101May 1, 2017: I’m fostering days-old kittens for a local animal shelter. These babies need fed every two hours, kept warm, and help to thrive. I’d been thinking about fostering, but since I have a cat, I didn’t want to keep a foster in a room by itself. I mentioned to my vet a future plan and she didn’t recommend bringing a shelter cat into contact with my cat. Two many funky diseases out there. With the babies, they are too little to miss roaming. I’ll have them until the first week in June. Yep, I’m tired, but I take naps.

April 16, 2017: I cleaned out my garage as a Spring Break project. Actually, my sister demanded I do it. IMO, as long as I can get my car in the garage, it’s all good. My sister, however, has great skill as an organizer. So we spent about 8 hours sorting, cleaninIMG_1569g, tossing “stuff.” In the end, the garage was beautiful. And I found some things I’d forgotten as well as didn’t ever remember having purchased. This example of rubber garden clogs is one such item. Aren’t they cute?

April 1, 2017: It’s S P R I N G! It’s been a snowy winter for Boise, more of the white stuff than we’ve seen for a long time. Everyone is ready for the next season. While I love that Boise has four separate seasons, I’m glad we’re moving into Spring. My daffodils, grape hyacinths, and tulips are blooming. So lovely to see color in the yard.
